I'm YKD, an artist proudly rooted in Waterford, Ireland. Music has always been more than just sound for me. It's been a lifeline, a mirror, and my way of processing the world. Growing up in a family of six, expression was constant, but it was my older sister Dammy who first planted the seed. She would always sing in church confidently, soulfully and I watched in awe as she was invited to sing in other churches, moving people with just her voice.
